This past week on March 17 we were privileged to hear from Mike Kipp, a former navy SEAL who is now running for county commissioner. He gave us many details about Navy SEAL training. Here are a few of the details from his time as a SEAL.

The navy SEAL training includes some of the most intense practices including drowning proofing, hell week, and being shot at. All of these are to make sure a navy seal can make it through any situation and not break under pressure. As you can imagine, a high percentage of navy seal candidates are unable to make it through the training. Mike Kipp was a SEAL during the Vietnam war. A couple of highlights from his experiences are that he stole two nuclear submarines fro the enemy and he took secret photos in the middle of the Hai phong harbor, a heavily guarded military base for the Vietnamese.

Tomorrow we are excited to hear from Ray Gunn of the Mercedez-Benz in Lindon, who is also a pending new member of the Provo Rotary Club.
