Report of the Rotary luncheon meeting held Thursday, March 10, 2011 The meeting was conducted by Stan Miller . Ron Roberts played dinner music and accompanied the Anthem which was lead by Jill Moon. Dale Jackson offered an invocation. Vic Ludlow reported that his wife, V-Ann , is in the University of Utah recovering from shoulder surgery and will soon go to Stonehenge in Orem for rehabilitation. Dwight Flickinger has been moved to a long-term care facility and would like visitors. If you wish to visit him please contact Jill Moon at 801.370.0505. Rick Hood has accepted the assignment to be chair of the upcoming district Rotary "Torch Run" to be held Saturday morning, May 7, 2011 at the new track field at UVU. The club has committed to provide ten runners to run (or walk) during the run

Jerry Summerhays , District Governor Nominee, was visiting. Jack May introduced a new Provo Rotarians, Geoff Nielson of the Bank of Utah. He is taking the spot occupied by long-time Rotarian Roger Ford who has retired and moved to St. George but will be visiting occasionally when he's in town. Geoff is a former member and president of the Sandy Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Greg Hudnall served as sergeant. David Rogers  announced that the Great West Conference basketball tournament is being held this week at Utah Valley University. Andy Anderson has free tickets. March birthdays were celebrated for: Andy Anderson, Frank Gardner, Mike Jacobsen, Vic Ludlow, Steve Smith and Gary Wiest. President Steve Tolley announced a new drive to invite all Provo Rotarians to become Paul Harris Fellows. Currently there are a dozen or so, mostly new members, who have not yet reached this designation.
