Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held February 6, 2014

President Glen Zaugg Conducted the Meeting

Todays meeting was conducted by President Glen Zaugg with Jill Moon and Ron Roberts providing the music and Jill Moon leading the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.  The opening prayer was offered by Joey Hansen.  


Birthdays were celebrated with Robert Redd born in Moab, Ray Beckham born in Chandler, Arizona, Paul Warner born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Steve Tolley, born in Cluff (near Rigby), Idaho all in the month of January.   

 


Jill Moon - Announces Girl's Night

Guests included Janet Beckham wife of Ray Beckham, and Thomas Payne and Brigham Mayer attending with David Rogers.  It was noted that former Executive Director, Stan Miller was in the MTC preparing to go to Hungary on an Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Jill Moon announced plans for Girl's Night on March 6th.  It will include dinner at the Riverside Country Club at 5:30 pm followed by a plan "The Importance of Being Earnest" at the Covey Theater in Downtown Provo. Advance Reservations are needed to assure a reservation.

Ruth Riley conducted Sergeant-At-Arms business by assessing fines while entertaining the group with interesting Valentine questions.

Danny Prager introduced Steve Lund
Danny Prager introduced Steve Lund, Chairman of the Board of NuSkin International who was our luncheon speaker.  Steve related NuSkin's history from it's humble beginning with Blake Roney and Steve Lund working together in Blake's kitchen to form the company.  He talked about the company's funding principals which inluded being a direct sales company that rewarded its distributors both financial and otherwise.  Steve also talked about NuSkin's humanitarian / service initiatives, including it's VitaMeal Program that has provided over 300 million basic meals to starving children in underdeveloped countries.
