Report of the Provo Rotary Luncheon Meeting
held April 12,
2012
Today's luncheon meeting was held
at Riverside Country Club. President Steve Densley conducted.
Jill Moon and Ron Roberts handled the music
and singing. Vic Ludlow offered an
invocation.
Guests: Chief Rick Gregory of the Provo Police Department introduced his two guests, fellow officers Brandon Post and John Geyerman.
Vaughn Park reminded everyone of District Conference coming up
June 1-2 at Zermatt. Registration is online.
President Steve Densley reminded everyone of the upcoming
membership dinner Wednesday evening, May 9 at Riverside. It will be the regular
club meeting for that week. Bring a friend as a potential new
member.
Greg
Hudnall served as sergeant raising a few dollars for the club's
foundation and complaining about the meat loaf on today's buffet.
Julie Bolton introduced William Black, president of RI Training, who spoke about embracing change and getting "...your money's worth out of life." Whereas people tend to resist change, he noted that embracing change adds power and motivation to life. Without change and growth, you (your business) will die.
He quoted Proverbs 29:18 -- Where there is no vision the people perish. If you're always comfortable, it's a sure sign you're not growing.
