Our speaker this week was Sven Wilson, professor and chair of the Political Science Department at BYU.  Sven is also the visionary and founder of the Character First movement as highlighted on the Doug Wright show on KSL radio . For this week's meeting,  Sven focused his thoughts on rejecting the populist movement circulating in today's politics and spoke about the necessity of a strong leader who shows compassion and isn't afraid to admit when he or she is wrong. Just another way to keep politics civil and promote goodwill in all aspects of life.

Provo Rotary Club takes a TRIP

Today the Provo Rotary Club toured the new Provo Orem Transportation Improvement Project (TRIP). Opening August 13, this new route will go from the Orem Central station to the East Bay area and everywhere in between. As Utah county grows, this project will prove vital to providing access to all Provo/Orem has to offer to those with disabilities and a growing number of students.

July  20, 2017 Our guest presenter at Rotary on July 20th was BYU Professor and co-author of "The Business Ethics Field Guide,"Aaron Miller. Aaron challenged us to think about the variety of situations that we may have been in or may be in at some point where competing values and priorities actually create ethical dilemmas. Aaron shared that dealing with ethical dilemmas is actually a skill that can be taught and learned. Rotarian Steve Tolley thanks guest speaker Aaron Miller
