Glen Zaugg Conducts the Meeting |
Todays meeting was conducted by President Glen Zaugg. Jill Moon and Ron Roberts provided the music for the singing of the National Anthem. Jill Moon lead the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the opening prayer was offered by Paul Warner. There were two guests including our speaker Makay Crockett. The other guest was Nathan TRwitrchell, Don Jarvis's grandson,
Wayne Beesley announced that Girl's Night will be March 6th. The activity will include a dinner at Riverside and a play "The Importance of Being Earnest" at the Covey Center in Downtown Provo.

Thanks were expressed to all who participated in the Dictionary Project. After which Steve Tolley filled the Sergeant-At-Arms role for us.

John Lewis introduces our Speaker, Makay Crockett |
John Lewis introduced today'speaker, MaKay Crockett, BYU Vocal Point Artistic Director. MaKay talked about his experience signing with the group prior to becoming the Artistic Director. This acapella signing group has gained national recognition by signing in televised competitions. He now helps with musical selections and choriography. He showed several videos of the group that demonstrated the variety of music they can preform and their level of talent. In answer to a question, he said that there is now a high level of competition to get into the group. This year there were over 100 applications for 4 available slots.
