Ray Beckham mentioned that he has been charged to raise $10 million in endowment for the new building to cover maintenance and other ongoing costs. The Provo Rotary Club has pledged $50,000 toward that total. He then introduced Scott Henderson, recreation director for Provo Parks and Recreation, who spoke about the 162,000 square foot building and conducted a tour of the nearly completed structure. This is the first tour given to a group. Construction was halted for the 30-minute tour.
