Report of the Rotary luncheon meeting held Thursday, March 10, 2011
The meeting was conducted by President Steve Tolley. Ron Roberts played dinner music and accompanied the Anthem which was lead by Jill Moon. Linda Pemberton offered an invocation.
Ben Guffey introduced his guest Blaine Yates of Xlear.
Jerry Summerhays, District Governor Nominee, was visiting.
Jack May introduced a new Provo Rotarians, Geoff Nielson of the Bank of Utah. He is taking the spot occupied by long-time Rotarian Roger Ford who has retired and moved to St. George but will be visiting occasionally when he's in town. Geoff is a former member and president of the Sandy Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
Greg Hudnall served as sergeant.
Craig Carlile introduced speaker Dean Kun-Yu Chen, a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar from Taiwan (they refer to their country as Formosa) who is doing doctoral studies at the University of Utah in Information Systems. He spoke about his country, showed a promotional video, and answered questions about his studies.
