Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held March 20, 2014

Todays meeting was conducted by President Glen Zaugg with Ron Roberts playing the piano and in Jill Moon's leading the singing of the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.  The opening prayer was offered by Ricky Hood.  

Guests included Ryan Sabin, son of Steve Sabins a regular; Howard Fulmer from UVU who attended with an invitation from Ricky Hood; New Police Chief John King and Lt. Mathew Siufanua attended from the Provo Police Department; and Sherry Hall Everett of Creative Stream came at the invitation of Don Jarvis.

Paul Warner, Club Chaplin noted that he had not been able to contact Alan Blom expressing concern about his recent health issues.  We all wish you well Alan, we hope to hear from you soon.


Greg Hudnall handled the Sergeant duties and lighted each of our wallets for a good cause.

Don Jarvis introduces Mayor John Curtis

Don Jarvis introduced Mayor John Curtis who spoke to the Club.  He talked about awards the City was receiving, including the 4th most liveable city in the nation.  He also talked about a number of exciting things happening in the City including Google fiber.  He said it was the cities goal to have every household connected to the network.  He also talked about the possibility of redoing the City Center Building and the Bus Rapid Transit proposal under consideration within the city.
