Report of Provo Rotary Luncheon Meeting July 26, 2012
Today's meeting was held at Riverside Country Club. President Vaughn Park conducted with Ron Roberts and Jill Moon providing the music. An invocation was offered by Jack May.
President Vaughn Park noted the recent passing of long-time Provo Rotarian Stephen R. Covey and invited club members to stand for a moment of silence.
Guests today were Rob Hymas, son of Merrill Hymas and Todd Wendelboe, grandson of Strat Wendelboe.
President Vaughn Park thanked David Rogers for organizing a fun evening at the Orem Owlz ball park last week for barbecue and game. More than 65 club members and guests attended.
President Vaughn Park announced that the August meeting of the club's board will be August 9 at Riverside Country Club at 11:00 a.m.
The annual adult summer party and barbecue will be held Thursday evening, August 9, 2012 at the regular location in Jolley's Ranch up Hobblecreek Canyon. Sign-ups will begin soon at club luncheon meetings.
The annual visit of this year's District Governor, Jerry Summerhays, will be Thursday, August 30.
President Vaughn Park announced that Provo Rotarian Gary Wiest is now president of the Utah Dental Association. Congratulations Gary!
President Vaughn spent the remainder of the meeting announcing chairs of the club's committees and inviting others to join as desired.
