Report of the Rotary luncheon meeting held January 6, 2011
The Rotary luncheon was held at the Provo Downtown Marriott Hotel. President Steve Tolley conducted the meeting. Jill Moon lead and Ron Roberts accompanied the singing of the Anthem and Pledge.  Ben Guffey offered an invocation.

    Tom Powell introduced his guest Les Smith, former Provo Rotarian.
    Ruth Riley introduced her guest Tracy Lewis of Wells Fargo Bank.
    Steve Sabins introduced his guest Rob Jaramillo.
    Strat Wendelboe introduced his son Calvin Wendelboe.
Birthdays were celebrated for those with birthdays in January: Dale Jackson, Linda Pemberton and Steve Sabins.
President Steve Sabins announced that the long-awaited Rotary Utah auto license plates will be available beginning January 13, 2011. He encouraged all Rotarians, when you re-register you cars this year, to consider changing to the Rotary license plates.

The annual district-wide All-Clubs dinner will be held Saturday evening, January 15, 2011 celebrating 100 years of Rotary in Utah. The Salt Lake Rotary Club was organized 100 years ago. If you are interested in attending, please contact Stan Miller at (801) 371-0400.

Don Jarvis spoke about a chance the Provo Food and Care Coalition has to win a $250,000 grant from Pepsi. Anyone may vote by going to the website refresheverything.com.

Jeff Alexander served as sergeant raising a little money for the Provo Rotary Charitable Foundation. He auctioned off a quilt made by Tamara Tolley to Hal Wing, today's speaker, for $150. THANKS Hal!

Stan Miller introduced today's speaker, Hal Wing, founder of Wing Enterprises in Springville and inventor of the Little Giant Ladder systems. He spoke of the company's success over the years to become the second-largest ladder manufacturer in the world. The company will introduce five new products this year including the "Select Step", the lightest ladder they have ever produced. They received 26 new patents in 2010. He spoke of the company's culture and his commitment to keeping it in Springville because of his fierce loyalty to his employees.

As a closing comment Hal donated $2,000 to the Provo Rotary Charitable Foundation.
