Connor Boyack visited the Provo Rotary on May 3. He founded the Libertas Institute. This organization is a watchdog that helps be aware of what is happening in Utah legislature as well as helping inform the public of what is really going on in Utah and US politics. Not everyone in Utah is able to go to every political meeting and Libertas makes it their job to know everything that is going on in order to inform the public. Our speaker this week was Sven Wilson, professor and chair of the Political Science Department at BYU.  Sven is also the visionary and founder of the Character First movement as highlighted on the Doug Wright show on KSL radio . For this week's meeting,  Sven focused his thoughts on rejecting the populist movement circulating in today's politics and spoke about the necessity of a strong leader who shows compassion and isn't afraid to admit when he or she is wrong. Just another way to keep politics civil and promote goodwill in all aspects of life.
