This past week on April 14 we heard from Rona, who is the President and CEO of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. There, they work on issues all over the valley with key individuals. They also create meetings and opportunities for networking that are fast and effective. Rona wants to help unite all of Utah county and to help people know how great we are with our tech companies and quality of life as we are growing and rapidly as a county.

Sven Wilson visits Rotary

Our speaker this week was Sven Wilson, professor and chair of the Political Science Department at BYU.  Sven is also the visionary and founder of the Character First movement as highlighted on the Doug Wright show on KSL radio . For this week's meeting,  Sven focused his thoughts on rejecting the populist movement circulating in today's politics and spoke about the necessity of a strong leader who shows compassion and isn't afraid to admit when he or she is wrong. Just another way to keep politics civil and promote goodwill in all aspects of life.

July  20, 2017 Our guest presenter at Rotary on July 20th was BYU Professor and co-author of "The Business Ethics Field Guide,"Aaron Miller. Aaron challenged us to think about the variety of situations that we may have been in or may be in at some point where competing values and priorities actually create ethical dilemmas.
