Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held July 17, 2014

President Ricky Hood Conducts Meeting
President Ricky Hood conducted todays meeting.  Jill Moon lead the singing of the Nation Anthem and conducted the Pledge of Allegence with Ron Roberts accompaning the National Anthem on the piano.  Following the pledge, Clark Merkley gave the opening prayer. 

In celebrating birthdays, it was noted that no club members present had a birthday in July.  So we sang a general happy birthday congratulation.  Jill Moon reported that Lorna Flickenger, wife of form member Dwight Flickenger is expected to pass away very soon.  And it was reported that Bruce Gilchrist's wife had died and her funeral was being held today.  Our condolences to Bruce and both families.   

In other announcements, the Past President's Meeting is scheduled for October 16th and the Club's Annual Meeting will be held on December 11th.  Those representing Provo Rotary at the Clear Horizon's golf tournement next Monday, July 21st will be a foursome of Dean Jackson, Steve Sabins, and Les Smith and Les's guest and potential member Vic Morris. The new incoming two year Club directors: Robert Redd, Ruth Riley and Paul Warner were approved unanimously by a vote of the Club membership present.

Guests present at today's meeting included Tyler Sabins attending with her father, Steve Sabins.  Ricky Hood brought Taylor Harold and Carol Walker introduced her guest Bob Williams.  It was again noted that Jim Calder and his wife Ann received a mission call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve in the Cochabamba, Bolivia Temple for 6 months and will be leaving in mid-September.

SPEAKERS

Glen Zaugg introduces today's program
Glen Zaugg introduced Curtis Hickman, Chief Creative Officer and David Lane, VP of Construction for the proposed Evermore Adventure Park in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Evermore is to be an theme park where every visitor interacts with the cast to have an individualized experience.  The goal of the park will be to provide wholesome entertainment for the residents of Utah.  The park will have six attractions:  The Old Town, the Forest, the Castle, the Cove, the Mansion and the Factory.  The park will be on a 45 acre site and hopes to open in 2015.
