Report of the Provo Rotary Club meeting June 13, 2013
Today's meeting was held at Riverside Country Club with President Vaughn Park conducting. Jill Moon lead the singing, Ron Roberts provided dinner music. An invocation was offered by Darrell
Jakins.

Guests included a visiting Rotarian from Canada, Cheran Carter and her granddaughter, plus Blair Giles, president of the Fredette Family Foundation.
Tom Powell reported that Strat Wendelboe is getting weaker.
Team leaders are still needed for RYLA to be held in September. See Vaughn Park if interested. High School juniors are eligible to apply. If you know of one in the Provo High School area, please let Steve Sabins know.
The Freedom Festival is still seeking volunteers for the July 4 grand parade. See Paul Warner.
President Vaughn Park announced that he is seeking applicants for the club secretary/treasurer.
Clear Horizons Academy will hold its annual fund-raising golf tournament at Riverside on August 12. Our club will sponsor one team -- two Rotarians who will each invite a prospective Rotarian to play on their team. Contact Glen Zaugg.

President Vaughn Park served as sergeant.
Vaughn also introduced today's speaker, Julia Romero, local service director for YouthLinc, a Utah-based youth service organization that organizes trips to six foreign countries for high school and college youth. The countries served are Cambodia, Thailand, Guatemala, Peru, Kenya and Vietnam. The goal is to make lifetime humanitarians of those who serve. See the slides below for a taste of the presentation.
