Upcoming Rotary Programs February 26, 2015 - Roger Thompson, Provo Director of Parks and Recreation March 12, 2015 - Tom Powell March 19, 2015 - Don Savage March 26, 2015 - Alan Roberts (Speaking on the Salamander Letters) Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held February 19, 2015 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.  The pledge was handled by President Hood and Ron led the anthem.  Julie Moon  gave the opening prayer. Sgt. at Arms duties were performed, and the claim was made that no sporting events were held (to the consternation of auto-racing enthusiasts). No guests were present. Ray Beckham then introduced the speaker. SPEAKER Victor Morris and Dr. Richard Nielsen spoke on the benefits provided to the area by Rocky Mountain University.  They spoke on the degrees offered, including the unique opportunities provided by the university, and also the challenges that the university has overcome and will continue to face as the growt...

Nielsen February 26, 2015 - Roger Thompson, Provo Director of Parks and Recreation March 12, 2015 - Tom Powell March 19, 2015 - Don Savage March 26, 2015 - Alan Roberts (Speaking on the Salamander Letters) Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held February 12, 2015 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.  The pledge and anthem, along with chaplain duties, were skipped this week. Julie Moon  gave the opening prayer.  A large number of guests were present, including several of our members' wives.  Tom Powell announced the District Assembly for April 11, 2015 and the District Conference on June 8, 2015.  Ray Beckham then introduced the speaker. Upcoming Rotary Programs February 5, 2015 - Jeff Morris February 12, 2015 - Steve Lund (The meeting on February 12, 2015 will be held at Nu Skin) Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held January 29, 2015 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.   Ron Roberts  performed double-duty by both leading and accompanying the National Anthem on the piano.  Following the pledge,  Carson  gave the opening prayer. Linda Pemberton  acted as Sgt. at Arms, and the questions were focused on the Super Bowl. The Speaker was the only guest to be introduced, and no Chaplain report was made. . SPEAKER Speaker  Alan Roberts  spoke on restoration projects he has been associated with and, in particular, the Federal and State tax credits that are available to help with the costs of such restorations.  He also spoke on the use of green technologies in restoration projects.

Upcoming Rotary Programs January 29, 2015 - Alan Roberts Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held January 22, 2015 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.   David Rogers  led the singing of the Nation Anthem and conducted the Pledge of Allegiance with  Ron Roberts  accompanying the National Anthem on the piano.  Following the pledge,  Julie Bolton  gave the opening prayer.  The Speaker was the only guest to be introduced, and no Chaplain report was made. . SPEAKER Speaker  Whit Roberts  spoke on alternative medicine and the way in which we develop allergies or inappropriately respond to substances.  He spoke on how the body can be reprogrammed to respond appropriately and how relief from chronic pain is achievable.

Upcoming Rotary Programs December 4th - Roundtable Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held November 20, 2014 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.   Joey Hansen  stepped in to lead the singing of the Nation Anthem and conducted the Pledge of Allegiance with  Ron Roberts  accompanying the National Anthem on the piano.  Following the pledge, Don Jarvis  gave the opening prayer.  Guests were introduced, and Chaplain duties were handled by  Vic Ludlow  and  on Clark Merkley  acted as Sgt. at Arms. SPEAKER Speaker  Jeff Winter  spoke IHC and Select Health and the mechanisms they use to improve result-oriented approaches for the doctors in our community.  He spoke on the way that this will be able to keep costs reduced while still ensuring high-quality medical care for the community.

Upcoming Rotary Programs November 20th - Mike Mann Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held November 13, 2014 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.   Jill Moon  lead the singing of the Nation Anthem and conducted the Pledge of Allegiance with  Ron Roberts  accompanying the National Anthem on the piano.  Following the pledge,  Greg Hudnall  gave the opening prayer.  Guests were introduced, and Clark Merkley  performed the Sgt. at Arms duties for the day. SPEAKER Speaker  Kye Miner  spoke on the large number of benefits that Intermountain Health Care provided to the community and the reasons for their non-profit status.  She spoke of their charitable assistance options available to patients unable to pay for their medical bills, and other ways that IHC gives back to the community.

Upcoming Rotary Programs November 13, 2014 Report of Provo Rotary Meeting Held October 30, 2014 President Ricky Hood  conducted today's meeting.   Jill Moon  lead the singing of the Nation Anthem and conducted the Pledge of Allegiance with  Ron Roberts  accompanying the National Anthem on the piano.  Following the pledge,  Carol Walker  gave the opening prayer.  A number of guests were introduced, including several potential members (welcome Adam, Paul, and Vic), and there was no Chaplain report.  Sgt. at Arms duties were done by  Clark Merkley . SPEAKER The speaker this week was Tracy Heiner, who spoke on IHC's 100 day heart challenge, and the benefits that can accrue in 100 days from healthy eating, regular exercise, and wisdom concerning our physical health.  Her presentation was enlightening, and we all felt guilty for enjoying the delicious birthday cake that was served.
